Atlantic Health System's TATE project (Talk About The Elephant in the Room) represents an innovative community based approach engaging people of all ages to have conversations with their loved ones about what matters most to them at the end of their life. These conversations form the foundation of advance care planning and inherently allow us to honor an individual’s values and preferences.

We recently had Yvette, Coordinator of Palliative Care & Bioethics and Jeanne, Manager of Palliative Care & Bioethics in our studio to talk about the important yet taboo topic of Advanced Care Planning.

Have you heard about Summit's Hometown Heroes Program?

The mission of the Summit Hometown Heroes program committee is to recognize and honor local veterans.

Through the program, the names, images and dates of service of participants will appear on banners displayed along city streets from Memorial Day through July 4. The program is funded through private donations; there is no fee to participate.

The deadline to apply is March 31, 2018.
