Founded in 1979, HTTV produces 30 shows a month, both in-studio and on-location, and broadcasts to 32 towns with a total reach of more than 600,000 people. The 501(c)(3) organization's mission is to educate and inform families, friends, and neighbors about the people, events, and organizations important in daily local life. “Our continuing theme, ‘Bring on the HEATT,’ represents our focus on Health, Education, Art, Technology and Trends,” said Honold. “This year’s focus is on health; thus we have selected honorees who are local representatives of the healthcare industry -- but who have also demonstrated truly outstanding leadership in the community.”

SUMMIT, NJ - Four distinguished healthcare professionals -- Alan Lieber, Dr. Robert J. Rubino, Dr. Paul Carniol and Christy Hodde -- have been selected as 2015 recipients of The Fred Honold Award for Community Service.
The annual Award, now in its seventh year, recognizes individuals who, in giving unselfishly of time and talent, make the community a better place for family, friends, and neighbors.” The awards, bestowed by Summit-based HomeTowne Television's Board of Trustees, will be presented at the television studio's annual holiday party at the Beacon Hill Club December 10.Alan Lieber is the President of Overlook Medical Center and has served as the senior administrator at Overlook Medical Center since July 2003. Under Lieber's leadership, Overlook has received recognition as being one of four hospitals in New Jersey nationally accredited by The Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and among the top 10% of hospitals in the country with the fastest stroke response time. U.S. News & World Report recognized Overlook Medical Center among the best hospitals in central New Jersey, and as a “Best Regional Hospital” for neurology & neurosurgery. He serves on several Boards, including the Gateway Chamber of Commerce, Atlantic Accountable Care Organization, Optimus Accountable Care Organization, and the Cornell University Sloan Alumni Association.
Dr. Robert J. Rubino is the President of the Rubino OB/GYN Group, with offices in Summit, West Orange, Bayonne and Clark. He as been named a “Top Doc” for eight consecutive years by New Jersey Monthly magazine, and is the current President of the Summit Common Council. Rubino also serves as a Board Member of Colonial Crossings Red Cross, and volunteers as a coach for Summit Junior Baseball.
Dr. Paul Carniol is the Past President of the Medical Society of New New Jersey and heads Carniol Plastic Surgery in Summit. A Clinical Professor at New Jersey Medical School – UMDNJ, he has been repeatedly selected as one of the Top Physicians in the New York Metropolitan Region by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., and as one of the Top Plastic Surgeons in the United States by the Center for Consumer Services in Washington DC. He serves as a member of the New Providence Emergency Response Team. as a volunteer for the New Providence Board of Health, is the PBA Surgeon for the Summit Police and the New Providence Police., and is on the Board of HomeTowne Television.
Christy Hodde is the Community Chapter Executive of the Summit-based American Red Cross New Jersey Crossroads, part of the American Red Cross North Jersey Region. New Jersey Crossroads serves a population of 1.1 million people in Morris, Union, and Warren Counties, and the towns of Millburn and Short Hills in Essex County.
